The music program at The Covenant Preparatory School empowers students to use their musical talents to bring glory to God through singing, maintaining rhythm, listening, and playing instruments. Included in the Covenant music curriculum are music theory, traditional children’s songs, folk songs, classical music, and music from a variety of cultures, styles, and time periods. Students are also taught God's Word through stories of the power of music throughout the Bible.
Covenant music program is essential to developing well-rounded individuals. In addition to enhancing critical thinking skills through exposure to a variety of musical ideas, research has shown singing and participating in rhythmic activities reduces stress, and improves learning, coordination, and motor skills.
