Here you will find some of the most common questions we receive when families visit our campus.

HOW DO I ARRANGE A CAMPUS TOUR?

We respectfully request that you schedule an appointment to visit our campus. You may schedule a visit online by clicking the “Schedule Now” button, emailing Admissions directly, or calling our Admissions Director at 281-359-1090 x218. Classes are in session during the day and we attempt to schedule tours when it will be the least disruptive to the learning process. You may also consider attending an open house event. These events are designed to provide as much information as possible for prospective students and their families.

IS COVENANT ACCREDITED?

Yes. Covenant is dually accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Cognia (formally AdvancED/SACS).

CAN MY CHILD SHADOW ANOTHER STUDENT?

Yes. Prospective students are welcome to “shadow” another Covenant student for a day to experience what being a Knight is all about. Please contact the admissions office to schedule your visit (281-359-1090, x218) or email.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO ENTER MID-YEAR?

We welcome transfer students if they meet all admissions criteria and there is space available. Contact admissions at 281-359-1090, x218 or email our Admission Director for additional information.

WHAT COLLEGES DO COVENANT GRADUATES ATTEND?

WHAT ARE THE CRITERIA USED TO MAKE AN ADMISSION DECISION?

Students applying for admission to Covenant must demonstrate that they are able to handle the academic work expected of them. School grade reports and admission testing must indicate a track record of academic success. Recommendation forms are required from the student’s current teacher and must confirm not only a history of academic achievement but must also show that the student exhibits the type of character that supports the beliefs and practices of Covenant.

In the event that an incoming senior wishes to transfer to Covenant from a local school or homeschooling program, the applicant will be required to meet all minimum criteria for admission.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID?

Covenant uses an independent third party to process tuition assistance applications. To apply for assistance, visit the FAST site by clicking the logo below. Upon completion and acceptance of your application, you will be notified by the Covenant business office of the exact amount of assistance you will receive before final enrollment. Assistance does not have to be repaid and may reduce your tuition by as much as fifty percent.

IS COVENANT ASSOCIATED WITH OR FUNDED BY A CHURCH OR DENOMINATION?

Covenant is a non-denominational Christian school that is 100 percent tuition-dependent. At least one parent/guardian must agree and accept Covenant’s Doctrine Statement and Statement of Mutual Understanding.

WHAT CURRICULUM DOES COVENANT USE?

Covenant teachers author curricula using a variety of Christian and secular textbooks as resources. All curriculum is reviewed to ensure it meets or exceeds state requirements, and all subjects are taught from a Christian worldview.

ARE COVENANT TEACHERS CERTIFIED BY THE STATE OF TEXAS?

Covenant teachers are required by the Board of Trustees to be certified by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Most teachers at Covenant are also certified by the State of Texas. In addition to the academic standards required for state certification, ACSI requires Bible study hours.

DO YOUR STUDENTS WEAR UNIFORMS?

Yes. School uniforms have a longstanding presence in education for many positive reasons. The purpose of Covenant’s uniform policy flows directly from our school’s stated mission and strategic vision, both of which articulate our desire to see the holistic development of our students, including the cultivation of their minds and character. We believe individuality to be a wonderful thing ordained by God Himself and most fully appreciated in the context of the community. Our student body is made up of a beautiful diversity that does not simply exist, but thrives in unity. Our uniform policy is driven by two primary desires: unity and focus.

DO STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN SERVICE PROJECTS?

Covenant provides numerous opportunities for students to serve others, within our community and internationally. High school students are required to complete twenty volunteer hours each year in the 9th through 12th grades. Younger students are also offered opportunities to participate in service projects.

WHAT STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS AND CLUBS DOES COVENANT OFFER?

Covenant offers a number of clubs and organizations. Student Council, National Honor Society, Student Ambassadors, Chess Club, Photography Club, and Latin Club, just to name a few. Students may participate in student social activities that are offered throughout the school year.

DOES COVENANT HAVE ANY SPORTS PROGRAMS?

Yes! Covenant has a well-established history of excellence in athletics. We compete in TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools) and offer a variety of sports at both the middle and high school levels. The school has won multiple state championships in boys’ basketball, baseball, swimming, track, golf, and tennis.

DO YOU PROVIDE BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE?

Yes. Covenant has an extended care program to provide adult-supervised child care. Supervision is available beginning at 6:30 a.m. each morning at no additional charge. After-school care is available from the time school is dismissed until 6:30 p.m. daily for an additional charge.

DOES COVENANT OFFER TRANSPORTATION SERVICES?

Bus transportation is available to the Atascocita, Summerwood, and Fall Creek communities and the Grand Parkway area. There is an additional charge for the service. It is available roundtrip ($1,000 per school year) or one-way ($500 per school year). Please visit our transportation page for more details.
