Arts

At Covenant, we know that our Creator endows every student with unique abilities as a reflection of His creativity. Through our Fine Arts program, we expose students to a variety of visual and performing arts so that they can discover their talents and gifts in order to glorify our beautiful God. Fine arts are vital to the holistic development of our students because it allows students to reflect what is true, good, and beautiful to the world around them and worship God passionately.

We value the study of the fine arts because it not only inspires creativity, innovation, and design but also enhances memory, problem solving, and communication skills. The power of the fine arts transcends the knowledge that students acquire in that particular area, becoming applicable to all other disciplines, such as mathematics, science and English. Exploring the fine arts broadens students’ horizons to the world around them, giving them an appreciation of other cultures. Paul Ostergard, former CEO of Citicorp, aptly stated, “A broad education in the arts helps give children a better understanding of their world…We need students who are culturally literate as well as math and science literate.” Ultimately, the fine arts encourage what is true, good, and beautiful, offering hope in a broken world.
